WP2 - Development

Objectives

Develop and approve an innovative curriculum for the Master's degree in Ecoinformatics, aligned with national standards and EU practices.
Equip 5 target universities with the necessary laboratory equipment and software (GIS, remote sensing, AI) to conduct practice-oriented classes and research.
Improve the competencies of teachers (minimum 60 people) through specialized (online/offline trainings in EMNM and innovative teaching/assessment methods.
Launch the Master's program, ensure the first intake (at least 35 students) and prepare materials (textbooks, syllabi) for further sustainable functioning of the program.
Develop and implement short courses for professionals (without ECTS) for improving the qualifications of practicing specialists in the field of EMNM.

Description

T2.1: Development of aims, specific competencies and learning outcomes of MSc and training courses in Ecoinformatics. in line with national and EU policy and best practices.
T2.2:: Technical base for research and learning (Infrastructure support).Establishment of 5 Laboratories of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth at 5 partner universities.
T2.3:Professional development of at least 60 PC universities staff at 2 EU (PoliTO, UBI) and 1 PC university (KKSU) in ecoinformatics, in working with software for processing aerospace images and analyzing data. 1 webinar, organized by OBREAL
T2.4:Learning/assessment materials will be prepared by all universities under supervision of PgC partners and translated into Uz and Kz languages by PC field experts. Newly developed textbooks will be reviewed by nonaffiliated experts. Learning materials will be available in LMS of PC universities.

T2.5: New MSc program will be approved by academic councils of all Uz & Kz universities and at least 35 selected
students total, 5-7 from each of 5PC universities will be enrolled.
T2.6:Development of training courses for professionals in EMNM.
T2.7:Conducting more than 10 short training courses, each 30 academic hours (6 hours per day) offered to at least 60
professionals like environmental specialists and local authority workers in Uz and Kz. No ECTS.
