The first technical training and project meeting of the Erasmus+ MECAS project took place at the Politecnico di Torino University in Turin, Italy.

On March 24-26, 2026, the first technical training and project meeting of the Politecnico di Torino MECAS ( Development of Master curriculum in EcoInformatics for the impact on the Aral Sea basin) project is being held in Torino, Italy. During the meeting, achievements, challenges, and future tasks within the project are discussed.

The meeting is attended by representatives of universities from Europe and Central Asia, including higher education institutions from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

During the training, theoretical and practical classes are held in such areas as remote sensing, the use of artificial intelligence in ecology, modeling ecological processes, and assessing river ecosystems. The discussion also included project management, quality control, curriculum development, and results promotion.

This meeting was an important step towards the effective implementation of the MECAS project, strengthening cooperation, and establishing a modern, internationally recognized educational program in the field of EcoInformatics in the future.
