🌍 ERASMUS+ MECAS: ECOINFORMATICS — A NEW MASTER'S PROGRAM

🌱 MECAS — “Development of Master Curricula in EcoInformatics for the Impact on the Aral Sea Basin” — an international project implemented within the framework of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE).

🇪🇺 The project is funded with the support of the European Commission and serves to study environmental problems in the Aral Sea basin using modern digital technologies, scientific approaches and international experience.

🎓 NEW ECOINFORMATICS MASTER'S PROGRAM

One of the main goals of the MECAS project is the development and implementation of the modern Ecoinformatics graduate program at partner universities in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The new graduate program aims to combine ecology and digital technology to give future professionals modern knowledge and practical skills.

📚 The program is planned for 2 years — 120 ECTS, and 17 new courses are planned to be developed within the framework of the project.

💻 Within the framework of Ecoinformatics:

🗺 GIS and Spatial Analysis
🛰 Remote Sensing
🌿 Ecology & Environmental Monitoring
🤖 Artificial Intelligence
📊 Numerical Ecology
💻 R Programming
🌍 Ecosystem Assessment & Management
🛰 Satellite Image Processing
🌊 Aral Sea environmental modeling
🌐 Google Earth Engine
